Tribal Alicorn by Katana-Tate Tribal Alicorn by Katana-Tate
After hit by a sudden urge to draw something tribal and working three or four days my hand, arm and butt off it is finished.

I really enjoyed drawing it. Here and there it is still a bit angular, the right front leg is a bit to straight, the wing looks a bid odd and I could go one but still I like it for a first try.

And for all who don't know what a Alicorn is. As you can see it is a winged unicorn. Alicorn is just the right name for it.

Alicorn, that is awesome.. Can I look it up in a dictionary and actually find the definition? :iconhappyflopplz:

Well you can try if you have a newer one. I found it out on wikipedia and later I read it in a German dictionary for all sort of fantasy creatures.

I did try google - images search and found a bunch of stuff. Helps to have the correct term for searching. Am going to try it on DA and see what happens. Have a 46 inch flat screen high def TV in living room with a MediaPc hooked up to it so can browse DA in comfort with a large view.. Wish I had more pics of that castle in your neighborhood.. You probably have better sources for fantasy history than I do. America isn't much on old world fantasy! Thank god for google search..lol

Sounds like you are browsing the internet in comfort like you are in a cinema.

Getting inspirations for fantasy stuff is indeed a bit better here. Since we have castles and knights and all that stuff. But with castles it depends where in Germany you live. I have the luck to live pretty close to many castles (with close I mean 2 hours) but not much are as beautiful and in good shape like the castle Lichtenstein and this castle is like one and a half hour away from here.

If you want to see what the castle looks near me try goggle and search for "Schloss Schwetzingen" or "Schloss Heidelberg". Or I can help out and look for some older photos from castles I went to.

Yep, to the cinema comment, is also a 120 watt rms surround sound audio system also hooked to media computer. I told you that I build systems and I give myself a pretty good break on the labor costs. lol..

I think that is my favorite castle of all the castles that I know about. I am highly envious of you being that close. The closest thing to that for me is Pikes Peak in Colorado and that isn't a castle and it is 9 hrs from where I live..lol

The you really have little cinema of your own. Awesome when you do it by yourself and have the space for it.

Do you mean Castle Schwetzingen or Castle Heidelberg? Castle Schwetzingen is the close one and it is pretty neat but Castle Heidelberg is more famous.

For that you have much more wild nature and your cowboys and indians. Which makes me envious of you. :XD:

But 9 hours are damn far. 2 hours on your highway a sometimes to much for me. But 9 hours...

Hola! Not bad for your first try! :) You should keep practicing at tribal tattoos! Maybe you can ask tips from Shinnk, she's more experienced with tribal tattoos from what I've seen :3

I will do so. I have to get better with the pen tool in Paint Shop Pro. Then the angular will not be as much as it is now. ^^;

Properly she will read this gives me tips right away. :XD:

It looks simple but there are so many options to use them and also so many buttons to remember what they do and such @.@

I already could memorize a bunch of them. I like it very much because you can make very nice round and smooth lines. At least with the mouse.

I should start making notes. You never know it with me, I might forget the rest of it during the vacation. We also work with the mouse. Tablets don't "exist" there.

And before you know it you have those self-sticking notes thing hanging everywhere. :D

I see. Well in this case the mouse is better then the tablet, at least for this tool. But for that the tablet is much better for the brush tool.

You mean post-it? *is now completely covered with post-its* Damn it, where did those come from?

Zomg, Last week I saw empty boxes from Wacom tablets! @_@ I want to steal one :ninjaplot: But currently we work a lot with the mouse for drawing lines to one point to the other, etc.
